Luang Phabang is a charming place located between two rivers with a small hill ( with temple on the top of course ) in the middle of the town. There are something around twenty temples including the oldest one in Laos Wat… something. It’s the one of few which is not renovated so it looks and you feel almost like in XVI century. Gold paintings on the walls, wooden ornaments , roof with holes so you can see sun, old Buddha(s) …. and orange monks with umbrellas walking around. We also visited waterfalls close to the city and honestly it was the most amazing waterfalls we saw so far in my opinion. Please have a look at provided pictures, torques water in the small and big pools ( swimming as well ) flowing down between trees . Remembering our slow boat experience we ordered the most expensive service to Vientiane called the VIP bus… actually the slow boat was not so bad. Anyway after 10 hours ( 350 km ) drive on the top of mountains with precipices on the left or right or both sides we arrived to the present capital of Lao People Democratic Republic. Honestly it looks like the LPDR including the sickle and hammer red flags. No comments we stay here only 24h waiting for our ‘sleeping VIP bus’ to Paxe. Our trip should take around 12 hours and we will land very close to the 4000 islands on Mekong where we plan to stay 3 days before planned short trip to Cambodia.
PS
Have you ever seen motorbike driver keeping one child on the arm, second one ( maybe 5 years old ) between legs, smoking , keeping sun umbrella on and driving ? It was not at the local circus but it looked like ! Even Indians are not so good ! I guess it's only possible after drinking local whisky, please have a look below, strong enough?

OdpowiedzUsuńZapakujcie do plecaków tamto słońce i ciepło.
Przyda się tutaj do roztapiania śniegu.
A wiosnę to pogońcie do nas, niech się nie ociąga. A i jeszcze dużo ciepłego wiatru, do osuszenia roztopów.
Pozdrawiam, K.P.
